Hardy Rifle Engineering Carbon Wrapping is carried out using low resin, high strength, pre-impregnated carbon cloth. Not filament winding or wet layup cloth

Hardy Rifle Engineering Rifle barrels are wrapped using the same types of carbon found in ultra-light racing cars and racing yachts.

The carbon cloth used by Hardy Rifle Engineering is far from standard, giving the barrels a very different result from other carbon wrapped products. The combination of the carbon cloth with Hardy's Nanotech interwound bonding layer, changes the behaviour of the carbon laminate. This is due to the ability to make the laminate react to harmonic stress as a complete unit as opposed to normal laminate, which reacts layer by layer.

Normal carbon wrapping methods spreads the stress over the localised area, which could lead to failure. Hardy's patented Nanotech bonding layer spreads all loading and stress over the entire laminate, dissapating pressure and stress.

With the barrel harmonics dampened to such a high degree, an extreme level of shot to shot consistency is the result.

Hardy rifle barrels are 100% made in New Zealand from 416R Stainless Steel. It is CNC gun drilled, precision reamed (optional), button rifled, fully stress relieved, hand lapped and CNC contoured.

All orders are shipped via courier to your physical address. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes as the South African Postal Service can have unexpected delays. 

Shipping is calculated by weight and item type. Firearms, ammunition and primers can only be shipped via RAM Hand to Hand couriers. All other items are shipped at standard courier rates.

All orders are subject to a flat rate charge of R200.00*. Should any discrepancies arise, we shall contact you for further arrangements.

*RAM Couriers are much more expensive and will vary
